Regarding the possible involvement of Margaret Gibson (Patricia Palmer) in the Taylor murder, the natural question arises: Where was she when the murder took place? Was she even in Los Angeles? No solid answer has yet appeared for the latter question, but here are a few historical clues and possible indicators:
Margaret Gibson was in the Christie comedy Cold Feet,
which had some scenes filmed at the Christie studio and
some scenes filmed on location at Truckee. This is from one of her studio scenes in the film:

A promotional page for the film can be seen here.
Christie’s publicity manager at that time was Pat Dowling.
In the script for Cold Feet, most of Margaret Gibson’s scenes were indoors, shot at the studio. The script (courtesy of William J. Mann) can be seen here. Going by the script, it seems that only two possible segments with her perhaps involved location filming, and it’s not really clear that she was in them (shot 71b and 73, regarding “all”).

star Viora Daniel (standing) and a seated woman who
might be Margaret Gibson. There are no other women
in the cast of the film.
