            Silent Film Centennial Celebration
An Overview of the Most Important Films Made 100 Years Ago
Upon the 100-year aniversary of its release, the most-important film of an individual year
is the multimedia focus of a retrospective overview.

                1915
                	The Birth of a Nation
A guilty pleasure for some. A painful experience for most.
Undeniably, it still has the power to evoke strong emotions —
                  sadness, loss, remorse, even hatred.
One hundred years after its release, it remains the most discussed film of the entire silent era, and for that reason D.W. Griffith’s The Birth of a Nation (1915) is Silent Era’s Centennial Celebration film for 2015.
